Social services
The social services team is available to all patients of our hospital and their relatives. Taking into account medical and
nursing information and coordinating the next steps, we work with you and your relatives to find suitable forms of support. The self-determination and dignity of each individual form the basis of our work. Our aim is to accompany you with your questions and decisions and, together with you, to find solutions for your personal path in life.
Illness can greatly change and affect your previous life. The social services team is at your side when planning your future social and family situation. We advise you on the options and alternatives after your hospital stay and support you in putting them into practice.
Based on your individual health and illness situation, the social services staff provide advice in particular
- on applying for and initiating medical rehabilitation measures and organising follow-up rehabilitation (Anschlussheilbehandlung)
- with information on the law relating to severe disability
- on questions of guardianship law
- on applying for a care level (Pflegegrad)
- with social-law advice for cancer patients and advice on financial support
- on arranging full inpatient care/short-term care or a place in a hospice
- on questions about organising family support when there are children under 12 to be cared for
- on putting you in touch with counselling centres and self-help groups.
We are here for you!
